The Honourable Vanessa Rochester, was elevated a Judge of the Federal Court of Appeal. Her appointment was announced January 29, 2024. Justice Rochester was appointed to the Federal Court in 2021. She earned both an LL.M. and a Ph.D. in maritime law from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and was a member, director, committee chair and regional vice-president of the CMLA until her appointment to the Court. She remains an invaluable friend to the Association. We congratulate and wish Madam Justice Rochester every success in her new role.
