Nigel Frawley, a long-time CMLA member and past president, as well as a former Secretary General of the Comité Maritime International (CMI) died on January 22, 2019 in Toronto.

He was a major contributor to the development of maritime law in Canada and around the world and was highly regarded for his competence and personal warmth.
